Jeff Garcia

As a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, I wanted to comment on Jeff Garcia signing.  It tells me two things: 1.) the Birds don't have much faith in Kevin Kolb, and will probably give him a quick hook, and 2.) Donovan McNabb's injury is more serious than they're leading on.

I would prefer to see Garcia under center on Sunday over Kolb if McNabb can't go, but we'll have to wait and see.  Plus, I want a healthy McNabb over the course of the season.  They play the rebuilding Chiefs in Week 3, and the bye is Week 4.  Theoretically, McNabb can heal for 3 weeks, and they can possibly be 3-0 when he returns.   It all depends if they can reasonably contain Drew Brees and the Saints vaunted offense.
